The are ideas that I created or have seen others use succesfully. Some you can see but many are intangible. This page will be udpated often so check back to watch these idea list blossom.
1. If you have nightclubs within 10 miles consider just being open from 10pm til 6 a.m. It’s so hard to find agood place to eat after the bars close. Serve the food that doesnt have much competition because they are home sleeping dreaming aboout the breakfast donuts.
2. Offer top 10% of all customers “exclusive dining card” that give them the great perk other patrons never get. It’s so easy to task everything about you customer in order to serve them better on that specially credit card in stead of depending on your memory. If you know times (you could reserve their table for them), large or small parties (proper staff on because you finding out before they show up) how often each month and avg check amount to design promos SPECIFIC for that customer.
3. If you have a reservations list with customers phone #’s –try this it will dramatically increase business if done well–first divide into customers that show and another those that didn’t. The next day around the same call each list –do not show–ask why –go somewhere else, stayed home so you can help them in the future. Then for last night patrons ask them how the enjoyed, met their expectations, anyimprovemnts, then at the end of them a 20 next time coupon for help to make their experience known by you.
4. Get or research (ex 411.com) people addresses that came to you though a reservation –send them a thank you card –handwritten for the opportunity to serve them–I have NEVER ever seen a restaurant do this especially high end ones. You want them to remember you after the food has left their stomach but they still remember that they liked it.
5. Find local business you could team up with for gaining their customers after they’ve shopped long and harder during the holidays. Works great with movie theaters andhighend purchases example furniture shopping multiple stores for best prices and it work to make sure colors and grains match. After a long day have 1/2 dinner on us at this specific restaurant.
6.Find all local review sites Yelp, Urbanspoon, Chowhound or even Google and find ways to encourage your customers to submit reviews on your behalf. If you really have amazing food, a signature dish or a unique flair people enjoy the results will truly compound your businesses. I used this tactic for Willys Phillys and was astounded by the results we got higher rankings on Google (EVEN WITHOUT a website) and most importantly as we encouraged more people to post reviews NEW CUSTOMERS sought us out simply because of those reviews. You’d be amazed to see how many people had to try this cheesesteak place out to see if the reviews were true. In my opinion this is why Five Guys burgers is so audacious to put their reviews all over the walls because they know they are that phenomenal and unique.
7. Tell your customers if the is a problem with your food to tell you but if the love it please tell a reviewer that i mentioned in #6. Please do not be shy about this point remember not everybody is going to love your food you know some customer do actually have “bad taste”– LOL.

Thanks for this. I have passed this on to a friend of mine as I know he is interested in this. Perhaps you will gain another subscriber
Howdy! I understand this is kind of off-topic however I had to ask. Does running a well-established website like yours require a lot of work? I am completely new to operating a blog but I do write in my journal on a daily basis. I’d like to start a blog so I will be able to share my own experience and feelings online. Please let me know if you have any ideas or tips for new aspiring blog owners. Thankyou!
